With the latest in multifunctional technology implemented into a single device, the Dell MFP Laser Printer 1815dn boasts an extremely low overall operating cost of only 1.6 cents per page. With costs this low and output capability so high, the unit places itself easily at the top of its class for 4 in 1, medium grade office paper handling devices.

When a standard toner cartridge of 3,000 page print capacity is used, total cost per page will suffer  slightly, but high yield, 5,000 page cartridges are available to not only increase overall value, but extend replacement cycles as well, saving time. Additionally, third party replacement cartridges are available at discounted prices, reducing costs even further.

Printing, copying, and scanning can be executed with amazing speed and clarity thanks to the Dell MFP Laser Printer 1815dn’s lighting fast 27 page per minute print cycle. A print quality of 600 x 600 dots per inch keeps text documents looking clean and professional, and scan quality can reach up to 600 x 1200 dots per inch in optical mode, and up to 4800 x 4800 dots per inch in interpolated mode, both in full, 24 bit depth color or black and white.

A 300 MHz processor keeps all operations moving swiftly, and a standard 64 MBs of memory aids in complex and simultaneous print operations. Also included standard is 32 MBs of memory in the DIMM slot, which can further be expanded with additional DIMM memory to a maximum of 192 MBs total, which should increase print speeds noticeably, though only a single DIMM slot is implemented, and therefore the 32 MBs of included memory will have to be replaced, possibly going to waste.

PC faxing, as well as regular faxing, is possible via the built in high speed fax modem and fax port. Both USB 2.0 high speed and USB 1.1 full speed access is available for personal connectivity, along with a Base T Ethernet port for networking possibilities. Auto forwarding can be activated to send received faxes over the network to any number of PCs, and outgoing PC faxing is also optional, allowing users to deliver data material directly to hard copy fax format on a receiving parties end.

Dell’s customer support staff is famous for unmatched quality and effectiveness, and the Dell MFP Laser Printer 1815dn comes complete with a full year of coverage including twenty four hour toll free technical support and next business day advance exchange service. The year of service can then be further extended to as much as four years, for tech support throughout much of the life of the product.

The Dell MFP Laser Printer 1815dn’s paper handling abilities are impressive, with not only a 250 sheet covered paper drawer, but also a 50 sheet multipurpose tray. An additional 250 sheet tray can be purchased separately to bring the units total up to 550 sheets when high output is demanded and paper replacement frequency is required to remain at a minimum. The 150 sheet output tray also should serve any sized workload well for optimal document output all around.

While it is true that Dell has a great Laser MFP that is very cost efficient. I have used a few different Laser MFPs, and I have to say that Sharp USA has one that is amazing. I am employeed by Sharp, but I can honestly say that I have had great success using their product. Check them out at hxxp://www.sharpusa.com/ForBusiness/DocumentSystems/MFPsPrinters.aspx

While the Dell MFP looks great, I still prefer the one I have, which is a Sharp MFP. It has never given me any issues, is very economical, and is so easy to use. In addition, each of its features works really well. While I now work for Sharp, I can honestly say that I have always loved their products. They clearly have really high standards and the quality is amazing. You should check them out at hxxp://www.sharpusa.com/ForBusiness/DocumentSystems/MFPsPrinters.aspx. I know you would be as happy with them as I am.
